(Map)

Explore the art of candle making using beeswax and learn about the unique world of this hive product during “The Wonders of Beeswax” Workshop at the Age of Union Centre on Thursday, December 14, in collaboration with Alvéole. 🐝

While honey may be the first thing we consider when it comes to honey bees, it’s not the only by-product these tiny creatures create, nor is it the only hive product with a rich and fascinating history. During this workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about how bees make beeswax, how to harvest beeswax and its different uses, and the history of candle making. 🍯

Hosted by a beekeeper from Alvéole, take part in learning about the artisanal and charming process of making hand-dipped beeswax candles. Participants will walk away from this workshop with a new skill, a unique shared experience with their peers, and a pair of hand-made 100% beeswax candles. 🕯
